A Copy Of A Guidebook Of United States Coins, better known as "The Redbook"
A Guidebook Of United States Coins is a fundamental book to coin collecting, due to the amount of high quality information that is has. This book has information regarding retail prices of unites states coins, but it also has additional information about coins such as a brief history of the series at hand and notes about how the coin at hand should be graded. Additionally, this book has more information than simply mainstream US issues as it also contains information about series such as colonial coins, and some of the coins that were minted in the Philippines.
2) A Way To Store Your Coins
Personally, I feel that it is very important to have a way to store your coins, because no matter the method that you choose, even if it is something as a simple designated coin wrapper for the wheat back pennies that you have found in your pocket change, it is very important to have some sort of way to store your coins because it helps to keep them in the best condition possible, and helps keep you from loosing them. With this being said, there are many different ways that you can go about storing your coins where different methods are better for different situations and collecting goals. For example, if you inherited a bucket of common date wheat back pennies, coin rolls or wrappers would be the most cost efficient method of storing your coins. However, 2x2 holders would be better if your coins were a bit more valuable, or even something like a coin album if you wanted to store your coins in an organized, chronological manner. Regardless, it is very important to have some way to store your coins in your collection, so please feel free to click the buttons above to learn more about some of the ways that you can store your coins.
A Coin Magnifier
A Magnifier is an important tool to have that will help you learn about, and understand a lot more about coins, and and determine various attributes such as die varieties, small sized errors, and its grade. There are many different options that are out there for collectors, with different strengths, sizes, and more variations to choose from. I choose the specific one because for numerous reasons, one of the reasons is because it is very small which makes it very easy to carry. Also, this magnifier has an LED light in it so you can easily see any of the details that you are focusing on. Moreover, there are two different magnification strengths in this magnifier so you an get two different perspectives on your coin with just this one piece. Although you can grade coins with a weaker magnifier, this one allows you to see the details of your coin at hand much easier which makes it a very useful tool when it comes to grading coins.
