We have all seen those ads, saying "65% off" of a walking liberty half dollar, which brings the price down to "just" $14.95. With the price of silver going up, there has been an increased interest in silver and I just wanted to take a few moments to talk about how you can find the best prices on silver. With that being said, I personally would sell a walking liberty half dollar for $6-$7 and if I do not have what you all are looking for in my stock, I wanted to provide you all with some knowledge and resources that will help you get silver for the best price possible. INTRO TO THE SILVER MARKETFirst, I feel that it is important to give a brief introduction to the silver market as an understanding of silver market as it is very important to understand a few basics as to how silver is bought and sold to know if a price is good or not. To start, when looking to buy silver know what the price is for an ounce of silver. Keep in mind that silver is bought and sold at a premium. This means that if you go to buy gold or silver, in most cases you are not going to buy or sell at the price of silver, but rather at a price above (if your buying) or sometimes below (if you are selling) the spot price. Therefore, often the goal with buying and selling bullion is to buy and sell it at the closest price to spot possible. Also, beyond the value of the silver that is in a particular piece there are other factors to consider that add value. For example, sometimes 90% silver has what is referred to as “numismatic value” which is basically value for being an old or high quality coin. Also, there are “seminumisatic” rounds that have additional value because they are more collectable, where they are often of a higher quality with a nicer design, and they have a limited mintage with example being the kookaburra or kuala series from the Perth mint. Also, in general the larger the silver the piece the smaller the premium is going to be on a per ounce basis, and the smaller the piece the larger the premium on a per ounce basis. A large reason for this is because from a dealers perspective the larger the ounce or round the more that they can get in a dollars from the sale, but larger silver pieces are also harder to sell than smaller ones. When it comes to smaller pieces, the opposite is true where often they cost more to produce and they are easier to sell, where on a per ounce basis smaller silver pieces, especially fractionals are going to have a very high premium on a per ounce basis. The exception to this are 90% and 40% “junk” silver coins which often have a low premium similar to that of individual silver ounces, or in many situations less. Personally, I feel that this is because there is a very large quantity of “junk” silver coins on the market, and they are not as pure as many other bullion pieces. Also, the more pure something is the more that it is going to be worth, not only on a per ounce basis but also they tend to have a higher premium. Additionally, keep in mind that whenever you find something that is not made of pure silver the value of the other metals are often not considered, where for example 40% silver half dollars obtain their value based on the 40% silver content and often the 60% copper content is not considered. Lastly, sometimes manufacturing processes are very important to a pieces value where hand poured bars command a much higher premium than simple machine-made generic rounds. HOW TO GET THE CHEAP SILVER.With the intro to how silver is bought and sold I want to list out some places that you can go to in order to find silver for a good price, along with some places that I personally do not recommend. From Other PeopleBUYER BEWARE - YOU CAN BE SCAMMED!!!!! Just as a warning, keep in mind that buying from other collectors can help you buy and sell silver for a price that is better than you can get from a dealer, but with the better prices comes more risk. With this being said, you often do not have the protection that you have when you buy or sell from a company. To increase your buyer protection, make sure that you use a payment medium such as paypal so you can file a claim if for some reason the seller does not ship or if a buyer does not pay. When using paypal, some like to use the paypal friends and family mode because you can buy and sell without occurring the 2.9% + 30 cents charge that you have when doing the normal paypal payment mode. However, using the normal paypal mode, although you incur a fee you get protection from paypal where you can file a claim if necessary. With this being said, here are a couple of ways to buy silver from a peer to peer basis. Facebook - There are numerous groups on Facebook that are dedicated to buying and selling silver and old coins. These groups provide you with a great way to connect with other collectors and buy and sell silver and coins. Forums - Forums such as cointalk.com allow you to buy and sell silver and coins. Websites such as cointalk.com are great at doing this, and serve a very similar purpose as facebook groups do, but it allows you to connect with more buyers and sellers. eBay - This platform also allows people to buy and sell between each other which allows for prices that sometimes are about as good as on the platforms listed above. However, the greatest advantage for eBay is that you have protection from eBay so if for some reason someone doesn't pay you can still get your money, or cancel the order with similar protection if someone doesn't ship the product. Also, many companies sell one eBay which allows for you to have an even greater selection of offers to choose from. The only downside to eBay is that the fees for using this platform is much higher than on the platforms listed above. DealersIf I do not have what you are looking for in stock, please feel free to check out the following dealers below. Keep in mind that often dealers have a very slim profit margin, so they add on the credit card processing fee if you decide to pay by card. This being said, you can almost always get a better price by paying with a check instead of a credit card or paypal. JmBullion.com - This website is great for silver that is of a very high quality, and for a very good price! Often. they have prices that are often either the lowest, or very closest to the lowest price on the market and they ever offer free shipping on orders over $99! Providentmetals.com - This website is very similar to the one above in that they have great prices and they offer free shipping if you spend more than a hundred dollars, but it gives you another site to compare prices with, and they sometimes have awesome sales. Coin shows - this is a great place to buy and sell coins and silver because at coin shows there are many dealers in the same room, and you can negotiate prices in many situations. However, if you are looking to purchase silver from a more of an investment perspective keep in mind that often they charge an entrance fee that is a few dollars and do not forget about the cost of the gas and the time that is involved to get to a coin show. If you are interested in going to a coin show, I would personally recommend www.coinshows.com to find them. Websites That I Personally Would Not Get Silver From.Littletoncoin.com - This dealer in my opinion is one of the worst ones to get silver from. Although they do have a very high quality pieces and their customer service is great, their prices are very high. For example, right now as of January 2019 they are charging $30 for a Perth mint kookaburra when jmbullion.com is selling them for around $20. Amazon.com - Unless you have an Amazon gift card, I personally would not recommend using Amazon as your go-to source to get silver or coins. Although the site is very reputable, and the pieces that are sold on this site are of a very high quality, the relatively high fees that the site has for sellers is something that causes silver on this website to be higher than in many other places. Currently, a silver eagle is being sold for around $25-$30 where there are many other places where you can purchase them for around $20. However, Amazon.com is still a personal favoriate place to get coin books, and coin supplies. A Couple Other WaysCoin roll hunting - As with anything, there is a way that you can achieve your goal through hard work, and that is by coin roll hunting. This is the cheapest way to get silver on a dollar per dollar basis, as you can get rolls of dimes, quarters, half dollars, or even nickels and search through them to try and find silver. Although many people have found silver by doing this, the amount of silver that is being found is falling and on an per-hour basis in my opinion you would be better off getting a side-hustle or a weekend job and use the proceeds to get silver. Coinstar Machines - These machines are a decent way to get silver. These machines are nutritious for rejecting foreign and dirty coins, but sometimes they reject silver coins. In my opinion, it is always a good idea to look to see if there is rejected change in the reject bin. Even if you do not find silver, it is fairly common to find foreign coins or change that can be put towards silver. I remember one time I found $1.44 in change, and although none of it was silver it was enough to purchase a silver dime for sure. I really hope that this article provided you with some insight as to how you can go about buying silver for the best price possible! If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for future videos always feel free to comment below and I hope that you have a great day!

There are many situations where we want to know more information about an item. Whether we want to know its value, its history, or anything else knowing how to find this information is critical. This is where the problem comes in for many people, and hopefully this article will help you all be able to find information on items that you want to learn more about.
First and foremost, have a general idea as to the kind of information that you need, and why you need it. This is important because often, wanting to know if you can flip a t-shirt for a profit is different than researching a family heirloom. Also, if you are looking to know if something is valuable keep in mind that keep in mind that you should look at the amount of money that an item sold for as opposed to the amount of money that people are asking for as people can ask whatever they want to for an item, but they does not mean that they will get what they asked for. In general, in my opinion eBay is the best source if you are trying to find the value of an item whereas more general search engines such as Bing or Google are much better for finding more generalized information. Also, this article does not touch much on making better worded searches as I feel that there is a lot of information relating to that already out there, but rather it focuses more on unique ideas that I feel that are not discussed as much. With this being said, I hope that you enjoy this article. The first step to doing this kind of research it is important to know how to find the information to base your research on. First, look for any sort of markings or tags. Often, items made by companies have some sort of markings or tags that are fairly universal, or at least if not universal they are used on multiple products. Look for things like brand names, or words or symbols that appear to have been produced with the item. For example, if you have a spoon look on the back of the handle to see if there is a marking such as “Sterling” or “Oneda.” Doing this will provide you with direction in your research, where the following advice will help you find the useful information that you actually desire. Now, what if there are not any markings? First, look for any signs that an item is handmade. Oftentimes, there are patingings, or random cool items at thrift stores that are handmade, by who knows. These items are often seemingly random, or unique appear to be not as precise in the manufacturing in many situations. Often handmade items do have some value as many people appreciate the craftsmanship and effort that goes into handmade items. After finding any sort of markings on the item, first try so simply type in the markings into google or another search engine. If nothing comes attempt to do a visual search on your smartphone. Personally, I have the Fortune 2, and after taking a picture when I go to share it I have the option to find it on ebay, or Amazon; both of which can provide me with a lot of valuable information about the items that I have at hand, or at least provide me with some direction. Another great way to do a visual search is through the bing app or an app called cam find, both of which will help you when doing visual searches. If nothing comes up still, try doing the same search on multiple search engines, or get a different perspective on your search. For example, if you are trying to find information on a token try doing a visual search on each side of the piece. Also, keep in mind that these visual searches are beneficial for both hand made items, and random markings. Also, keep in mind that if the visual search just comes up with images, these images are linked to websites that will help you find the information that you are looking for. Another great way to find out information about an item is by asking people that may have a bit more knowledge than you. Go to the websites or facebook pages of various individuals that are in a field relating to the item that you are looking up, and try to see if they can provide you with some insight. I hope that you all found this article it be beneficial and that the information will help you find out more information about items that you may find that you do not know much about. If you have any questions about anything, always feel free to comment below or let me know Coins and silver are both items that we all want more of, but oftentimes finding a bit of extra money to put towards that part of the budget can be difficult. Whether if it's that extra ounce of silver for the stack, an inexpensive addition for the collection, or whatever you may want these different methods will help you get a bit of extra money to buy coins with! Here are some very simple and easy ways that you can passively earn a few extra dollars which can be used to increase your budget for coins, and add a bit more to your collection! Search Engines like Swagbucks and Bing ($5/month each)Swagbucks (I have this one defalted as my search engine) I personally have Swagbucks.com deflated as the search engine on my computer, and I have always been happy with it! This search engine is ran by Yahoo, and is used just like Google or Bing, but you get a small share of their ad revenue for your searches! The way this works, is first you sign up for an account, set up the search engine to be the deflated one on your computer. After that, at random times a three letter code will pop up ( usually once or twice a day), you type the code into the space provided, and BOOM you will get a few “swagbucks” added into your account. Each swagbuck is worth one cent, and I have never seen them pay partial swagbucks like other companies do. The amount that you earn from these codes is as low as four cents, and as a high as a dollar, but on average the amount will be between six to eight cents, and sometimes you will get one that is worth twelve to fifteen or even twenty five cents. There are many different gift cards that you can redeem your points, for, and you only need to have $3 worth of swag bucks to redeem for an Amazon or eBay gift card! Additionally, you even can get a 12% discount on a $25 gift card each month, which is AWESOME because that stretches your money much father! On average, I earn about $4-$5 with this method each month. Another great website to make some money through a search engine is through Bing! They have a program called Bing Rewards which will allow you to earn points that can be used to make some money with their search engine! Unlike Swagbucks, each and every single search that you do allows you to earn five points, where you can make 150 points through the desktop browser, and an additional 100 through their mobile platform every day! These points can be redeemed for many different things, such as Amazon.com gift cards! This method is a little bit more passive than Swagbucks because you do not have to type in a three letter code when it pops up, and can benefit someone that does not use a search engine a lot because you get points every search instead of every once and a while. In general, I earn about $4-$5 with this method on a monthly basis! Personally, I use a combination of both where I have Swagbucks defended as my search engine, and I have Bing on my phone so I will always make a bit of money when I use a search engine! I also go over to Bings desktop platform so I can get points from Bing as well as Swagbucks every day! 2) Having advertisements on your phone. ($3-$4 a month) (For Androids only, sorry I-phone)Although this method of getting some side cash is only available to Android phone users, this is something that I am a Huge fan of because of how easy it is! I have used many different platforms in the past such as Smores, Admee, Slidejoy Fronto, and even some other random ones, but I have my favorite ones listed below! S'Mores Personally, S’mores is my favorite app when it comes to making money with you lock screen! This app is something that I have been using for a while, and I like it a lot because it pays you the most money for your amount of work in comparison to the other ones that I have tried. In fact, this lock screen takes the same amount of effort as a normal lock screen does. PROS
Admee Pros
There are a few other ones, but I personally would recommend only the two above, because all of the other ones pay a lot less for your effort, amounting to around five cents or less a day. 3) Invest in the stock market. (Robinhood is the best!) (Varies)On the right is an actual graph of the profit that I have been able to make through the app so far (including the free share of stock that I got when I signed up) My initial investment was $250, and after less than three months I have been able to make $25.04, right at a 10% return! Investing in the stock market, if done right can let you earn compounding interest, that can earn you a whole pile of silver some day! There is an app called Robinhood that is, in my opinion the best brokerage that is out there, because they have NO COMISSION FEES! This brokerage allows you to trade stocks that are listed in the NYSE or the NASDAQ through your phone, or on their website and has a very sleek and simple design! This company makes their money by earning interest from the cash balance that you keep in your account, and through their gold plan which costs around $15 a month. They also cut a lot of costs by being very simple, where the trades that are made are through a computer, and they do not have the reasearch tools that many other brokerages have. Also, you can only simply trade stocks and ETFs and options, where they are rolling out crypto in some states! (there is still a 2 cent fee from the government that is relevant on all trades.) Personally, I have loved how I have been able to have a very diversified portfolio with just $250, and how I was even able to get a FREE SHARE OF STOCK when I signed up! All other brokerages, even ones such as Ally invest charge $4.95 to buy and $4.95 to sell simple stocks and ETFs, where I have been able to make a 10% return on such a small investment with their lack of fees, enough for an ounce of silver plus some! BEST OF ALL- you get A FREE SHARE OF STOCK IF YOU USE THE LINK BELOW WHEN SIGNING UP! This stock is worth anywhere between three and a hundred and fifty dollars, where in most situations this share of stock is worth about $5-$6. https://share.robinhood.com/brandos3028 It can be very hard to find money to buy coins or silver with, but by doing simple things such as by having the right lock screen or search engine, you can get some more money to buy coins with! These methods will not make you rich, but most of them will let you earn AT LEAST $60 to $70 a month, which is more than enough for a few extra ounces of silver!
Also, please use the hyperlinks that are in the article if you want to sign up for anything discussed in this article, because using them will help us both out. Thank You, Have a good day! |
